How much is a life WORTH?

Howdy y'all! Wyld Tha Bard here! I just wanted to share with y'all one of my recent spoken word pieces. This particular passage was inspired by all of the chaos and craziness that I seem to have been personally observing all around me. I'm just going to call out that big ole elephant in the room! It seems like as a society we struggle more and more with the concept of reverence. Now I don't mean to preach, but objectively by being a young man who wishes to do the best that I can for the overall well being and future of this beautiful planet, I don't want to inherit a future for my children and grandchildren that is plagued with such immense cycles of irreverence and apathy as we see today.

To me, it's all about visioning the ideal future and taking those steps in the current moment to solidify that vision. I personally don't believe that we as a collective human race are doomed by any stretch of the imagination! In fact I think we live in the most interesting, diverse and progressively evolving times in human history! I know many of you may question this opinion of mine and you have every right to do so, but from what I can see we are actively creating a new reality. I believe this is why I feel so connected with music and poetry, due to the sole fact that in my heart I feel that art of all types has the unprecedented power to lay foundations of a whole new culture. It is my deepest intention that through my creativity, I can be able to inspire along with healing myself and those who chose to experience the totality of my art.

As a millennial man, I live and witness first hand, everyday, the ever shifting nature of our reality. More and more of my peers are becoming disillusioned with the generic blue print of the traditional American Dream. I can personally attest to this, where I went to college only because my parents insisted that it was something that was in my best interest. But you know what? I knew in my heart that it wasn't. In this new era that we find ourselves in, it's all about feeling what is right for you! I firmly believe that a new world is actively being created out of a generation of kids such as myself who always yearned to live to their soul's fullest calling, to truly embody an effortless wave of creativity while being able to make a living. Only thing was through such immense episodes of indoctrination and assimilation via public schooling, many of us were quite literally drained of our raw creative power. I no longer feel the need or desire to work for someone else and to degrade and hour of my time down to a shoddy numerical value. All of our lives we have been told to follow our dreams and now more than ever before it's actually happening! Countless numbers of young people are trying to make it with their own unique creativity! And if you are reading this and you yourself are an aspiring artist of any sorts, just know that regardless of what others may say or not say your heart is the supreme guide!

So follow your passion! Embody your bliss! And may we all bridge a path to a new inclusive and just world where the worth and value of each human being is properly accounted for through the unique expression of each vibrant soul☀️!
